Design dynamic ads

Logo

Upload your Brand Logo. Usually, this will be the one that you display on your website. If you have several versions of your logo, you can upload three different versions in the sizes as mentioned below:

  • Square: 1200x1200px

  • Horizontal: 1200x628px

  • Vertical: 800x1200px

Choose the ones that will contrast with light backgrounds and that is neither too wide nor too narrow for readability in the ads. If you have an all-white logo, use your secondary color logo.

  • Use a jpg or png file

  • File size shouldn't exceed 5 MB

  • Dimensions (width and height) can be as big as 800 and 2000 pixels, but for best rendering, keep your logo size under 600 and 1200 pixels

In advanced settings, you can choose from the following options:

  • Logo size: either standard (15% of the ad space) or large (25%). We recommend choosing the standard size to maximize performance.

  • Dimensions (width and height) can format as big as 800 and 2000 pixels, but for best rendering, keep your logo size under 600 and 1200 pixels.

  • Logos should at least format to 150 pixels. If not, they won't render.

  • Position: You can select whether your logo shows at the top or bottom of square/vertical ads. The left or right position will apply for horizontal ads.

  • Image position: For each logo ratio, you can choose the position of the image inside the logo zone. Select left, center, or right.

Color

Choose the ad background, body text, and price colors. If you are unsure of which colors to use, we suggest keeping the default values.

In the advanced options, you can set additional colors for the logo background, the discount background vs. discount text, the call to action background vs. the call to action text, and the call to action border. You can switch between the background and text colors by clicking the double arrow button .

 Font family

Choose a primary font family that matches your website. We only use "web-safe" fonts to ensure that ads are rendered clearly across any device or browser.

If you don't find your exact website font family, use the closest one in the list. If you don’t know which font to choose, Arial is a popular choice that renders well.

In the advanced options, you can choose a secondary font. Once you pick the secondary font, you can decide between the primary and secondary fonts for each section of the ad: title, description, price, retail price, and discount. You can specify the font size (small, standard, large) and the font style (bold, italic, underlined) for each of the elements previously mentioned.

If you wish to use a specific font unique to your brand, you can request Criteo to make it available for you. For more information, see Using your fonts.

Pricing

You have complete control over how prices appear in your ads. All standardized currency sign and expression settings are available for you to choose from, based on your country and the Dataset selected.

The pre-selected setting is the value that is considered the default one for the dataset; all the other options can be used to override the default value. You can select the format (for example 120 USD, $120, or $120 USD), add a text before the price (for example From $120), and add a text after the price (for example; $120 per night).

If your price expression and formatting need to be modified to something different rather than the options available by default, please, reach out to your Criteo contact.

Call-to-Action (CTA)

A Call-to-Action (CTA) is an action-driven instruction to your audience intended to provoke an immediate response, such as “Buy now” or “Go!”.

We will recommend an optimal set of calls to action, which you may change as needed. You can enter up to eight calls to action. These should be short, action-driven, and fewer than 12 characters. Our technology will automatically display the best CTA for each shopper and context.
