Set up a spend limit

Spend limits define the maximum amount of money that can be billed for a specific Campaign for a given renewal period. This limit will be applied to all ad sets that are grouped under the campaign.

You can set up a spend limit while creating a campaign and update it by editing the campaign. If you want to control your spending, you can set a spend limit and a renewal frequency at daily, monthly, or lifetime.

Automatic Budget Allocation

Automated budget allocation lets you automatically share your campaign budget across all ad sets with the same objective.

When toggled on, your campaign's spend limit becomes a shared budget, and more budget is automatically allocated to top-performing ad sets, helping you maximize performance across the campaign.

When to use Automatic Budget Allocation?
We suggest using this feature when your ad sets have the same goal. This lets the system allocate budget to the best performing ad sets, without needing to be changed manually.

Before activating Automatic Budget Allocation, make sure:

  • All ad sets in the campaign share the same objective, for example, conversions, visits, revenue, or video views

  • You’ve set a campaign-level spend limit

  • The spend limit renewal period (daily, monthly, or lifetime) is the same for both the campaign and all ad sets
