With Predictive segments, leverage Criteo’s ready-to-use AI models that find your next-best shoppers enabling you to enhance customer retention and drive growth. By analyzing complex patterns in shopper behavior, accurately predicting a shopper's future action at scale. 

These segments help you find customers who will drive the highest value for your business or those with a high likelihood of churning in the next 30 days. This enables you to tailor your marketing strategies effectively, ensuring maximum impact and ROI. 

The predictive segments available are: 

  • Likely Top Spenders: Potential next most valuable customers who will generate the most revenue for your business. 

  • Likely to Churn: Target customers who will likely not return to your website or app to retain.

How it works?

Criteo’s AI identifies complex patterns in customer behavior to predict your next-top shoppers or at-risk shoppers accurately. The calculation is done in real-time and on an individual level resulting in continuously refreshed and ready-to-use predictive segment. 

When a user makes two or more purchases in the last 12 months, they are added to the audience pool. Additionally, the shopper intent signals considered are: 

  • Time since the first purchase 

  • Time since the last purchase 

  • Historical purchase count 

  • Historical purchase value 

These data signals and patterns in shopping behavior are used in Criteo’s AI to score each eligible customer based on their likelihood to be a top spender or likely to churn customers within the next 30 days.

How to activate Predictive segments?

To activate your predictive audience segment: 

  1. From the left navigation bar, under Assets, select Audiences 

  1. Click Create audience and then choose Customizable 

  1. Name your audience and select Criteo-powered > Predictive. Click Save. 

  1. Activate your segment by linking it to an ad set
