Set your Delivery timezone
Delivery timezone support lets you choose the timezone your account runs on. Once set, your daily budgets reset at midnight in the selected Delivery timezone; campaign delivery timing follows that timezone, and billing boundaries align with it instead of UTC.
Think of it as setting the clock that controls campaign delivery, budget pacing, and billing to the timezone that best matches your campaigns. You can choose the delivery timezone that best matches where most of your campaigns are delivered, and not necessarily where your business is headquartered.
Single-market campaigns | Select the timezone of the market where you advertise. |
Multi-market campaigns | Select the timezone that matches where most of your campaign spend occurs or how you want billing to be managed. |
Cross-border campaigns | Select the timezone of your primary campaign market. |
A real-world example
The situation: You’re a New York-based advertiser running a $500 daily budget. You select a US Eastern Delivery timezone because most of your campaigns are delivered there.
| Your local timezone |
Budget resets | Midnight Eastern |
Effect on delivery | Budget is available throughout the full local business day |
Billing period | Billing month starts and ends at your local midnight |
Where to view and set the Delivery timezone?
You can access your timezone setting as follows:
In the left navigation, go to Settings → General Settings.
Click the dropdown next to the Delivery time zone section.
Select your timezone from the dropdown. Your browser's local timezone is preselected if it's supported.
Click Save.
Read the confirmation dialog carefully, then click Change.
Supported Delivery time zones and limitations
Time zones use the IANA standard, the same format you'll recognize from calendar and scheduling tools (For example: Europe/Paris, America/NewYork, Asia/Tokyo). Daylight Saving Time (DST) is handled automatically where relevant.
Who can update the delivery timezone settings?
The following user roles can view and edit the account timezone:
Administrator
Business user
Technical user
Agency operator
Frequently asked questions
What if I just saved my timezone but nothing has changed?
This is expected. The change takes effect during your next billing period. The confirmation banner you saw after saving confirms that the update is queued correctly.
Will my campaign performance change?
Your targeting, bids, and creatives remain the same. Aligning your budget reset to your local midnight means your budget is available throughout your actual business hours, which can reduce situations where spend is exhausted at the wrong time of day.
How is this different from my language setting?
The language setting is personal and changes only the interface language you see. The Delivery timezone is an account-level setting that affects campaign delivery timing, budget pacing, and billing for all campaigns in the account. Reporting timezone is a separate personal setting and is not changed automatically when the Delivery timezone is updated.
What is the difference between Delivery Time Zone and Reporting Time Zone?
These settings serve different purposes:
| Delivery Time zone | Reporting Time zone |
What it affects | Campaign delivery, budget pacing, and billing | How reports are displayed |
Where it is managed | Account settings | User profile settings |
Scope | One setting for the entire account | Each person can set their own preference |
When it takes effect | At the beginning of the next billing period | Immediately |
Does changing my Delivery Time Zone affect all campaigns in my account?
Yes. The Delivery Time Zone is an account-level setting and applies to all campaigns associated with the account.
What changes when my Delivery Time Zone takes effect?
The following areas align with your selected Delivery timezone:
Campaign delivery timing
Budget pacing
Billing boundaries
The following remain unchanged:
Campaign settings
Campaign learning
Historical reporting
Historical billing
Each user’s Reporting timezone
What should I expect on the first day after the change?
The first billable day after the change may be slightly longer or shorter than 24 hours, depending on the difference between your previous and new time zones.
If your new timezone is ahead of UTC, the first day may be shorter, and the spend may appear lower than usual.
If your new timezone is behind UTC, the first day may be longer, and spend may appear higher than usual.
This is a one-time transition effect. Billing and reporting should stabilize from the next full billing day onward.
Will changing my Delivery Time Zone affect reporting exports or APIs?
Reporting exports and reporting APIs continue to work. After changing your Delivery timezone, review the Reporting timezone used for your reports and exports to make sure it matches your reporting needs. Historical reporting remains unchanged.
